HPNA 2015-2017 Strategic Plan

The 2015-2017 HPNA Strategic Plan was developed by the HPNA Board of Directors in support of the Mission: To Advance Expert Care in Serious Illness.  Initial work on Strategic Planning identified major areas of focus as Revenue/Growth; Engagement; and Strategic Partnerships.

Revenue  

Objective: Increase the number of HPNA members

2017 Goal: 28% increase

Strategies:

  • Implement membership program for growth and retention
  • Develop and implement marketing program related to member value

Objective: Increase total revenue from educational products and services

2017 Goal: 50% increase

Strategies:

  • Explore technology supporting education
  • Increase number of programs/services/products offered
  • Increase attendees at programs

Engagement  

Objective:  Increase the percent of HPNA members who belong to at least one member only community

2017 Goal: 80% of HPNA members are involved in the online member community

Strategies:

  • Fully operationalize the member portal
  • Develop and implement member education specific to the member communities

Strategic Partnerships  

Objective:  Increase percentage of effective strategic collaborative partnerships that have formalized agreements and evaluation processes

2017 Goal:  75%

Strategies:

  • Evaluate existing collaborative agreements
  • Implement formalized criteria and processes by which strategic collaborative partnerships are identified, prioritized, engaged, evaluated and sustained or retired

Objective:  Increase percent of educational offerings that are in collaboration with strategic partners

2017 Goal:  25%

Strategies:

  • Evaluate collaborative agreements
  • Implement formalized criteria and processes by which strategic collaborative partnerships are identified, prioritized, engaged, evaluated and sustained or retired

Objective:  Will have effective strategic collaborative partnerships associated with each pillar of excellence (Advocacy, Education, Leadership, Research)

2017 Goal:  100%

Strategies:
